Unfortunately "Shuffle: albums" now behaves like "Shuffle: titles" in iOS 8.4.
UPDATE: Still not fixed in iOS 9.0...
Hopefully Apple will fix this bug soon. As the built-in Music player does not offer this shuffle option, I'm afraid they don't care much about this.

Update because of iOS 7.0.3
iOS 7.0.3 necessitates a small update to shift the playback position indicator in "Now Playing" back by 6 pixels to its proper place.
Plus: SmartPlaylist will now maintain its own shuffle mode to prevent unwanted changes when the Music app interferes (especially when using album shuffle).

New feature in v4.10: Playback control
With v4.10 you will have all playback controls in 1 place:
This playback control is always at your fingertip in the upper right corner - on iPhone: "♬", on iPad: "Playback ♬".
- Volume control
- Shuffle off, Shuffle by title, Shuffle by album
- Repeat none, Repeat now playing, Repeat list (all)
- First song in smart playlist, previous / next song, last song in list
- Play / Pause
- Now playing: Artist and title
- Playback position (time played / time to play)
This playback control is always at your fingertip in the upper right corner - on iPhone: "♬", on iPad: "Playback ♬".
It lets you skip songs in the currently playing list even while you're having a look at another smart playlist or at another song in detail.

Shuffle by title or shuffle by album
Some users ask for this feature (shuffle) - and it has been there from the beginning!
UPDATE: This feature is now in the Playback Control. See new-feature-in-v410-playback-control
You just have to tap on the detail-disclosure button next to "Title" or next to "Album" on the rules-screen to choose "Shuffle by Title" or "Shuffle by Album" (and don't forget to run the search again for the new setting to take effect).
Some users don't seem to be aware that you can use all the colourful buttons to set the sorting or shuffling:
Sort by "Artist A...Z" (artists in ascending order), "Artist Z...A" (in descending order),
"Title A...Z", "Title Z...A", "Shuffle by title",
"Album A...Z", "Album Z...A", "Shuffle by album",
"Composer A...Z", "Composer Z...A",
"Composer A...Z", "Composer Z...A",
"Genre A...Z", "Genre Z...A",
"Rating 0...5", "Rating 5...0",
"Play Count 0...n", "Play Count n...0",
"Last Played 0...n", "Last Played n...0",
